No Dem Left Behind Endorses Sarah Godlewski for U.S. Senate
WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week, No Dem Left Behind PAC announced its endorsement of Sarah Godlewski for U.S. Senate.
“Throughout her career, Sarah has shown herself to be a formidable leader and a fearless supporter of her constituents,” said Hassan Martini, Executive Director of No Dem Left Behind. “Whether confronting state leaders in college, tackling problems at the Pentagon as a young professional, or taking on Scott Walker and his allies in 2018, Sarah has proven time and again that she has what it takes to enact meaningful change.”
“Sarah is doing something not many Senate candidates do, and that’s reaching out to rural voters and really focusing on their needs,” added No Dem Left Behind spokesman Richard Ojeda. “As a working mom and State Treasurer, Sarah knows firsthand what workers and their families are facing — and will do something about it. She was raised by parents who were public school teachers and proud union members, and they taught her that when you see something wrong, you roll up your sleeves and get to work fixing it.”
Alongside her position as State Treasurer, Sarah serves as chairwoman of the State Board of Commissioners of Public Lands, where she released record setting amounts to fund virtual learning amid the Covid-19 crisis, and as a member of the Next Generation Workforce and Economic Development Policy Advisory. During her tenure as Treasurer, Sarah established the Treasurer’s Homeowner’s Task Force to assist Wisconsinites in buying and staying in their homes, as well as the Retirement Task Force to educate citizens about retirement planning.
Rather than trying to divide Wisconsin for political gain, Sarah is focused on uniting Wisconsinites across all 72 counties to build a powerful grassroots coalition aimed at moving the state forward together.
In Sarah’s own words, “As a proud fifth-generation Wisconsin with deep family roots in rural Wisconsin, I have seen the issues that our communities are facing every day, from lack of broadband to crumbling roads to inaccessible health care. As Wisconsin’s next U.S. Senator, I’ll make sure the voices of rural Wisconsin are front and center in Washington.”
